The two Bird Houses are fashioned in a minimalistic architectural style, constructed in the manner of a traditional Norwegian log house, originally used to store food. The structures resemble birdhouses, gently placed on the steep slope above the other Landscape rooms.

The houses highlight how little we actually need to achieve a sense of well-being. The rooms are no bigger than 8 square metres in total, still providing a comfortable bed, a small sofa bench and a toilet. The interior is light and pleasant, with large windows designed to let nature in and smaller windows providing stunning glimpses of the world outside. From the bed, you can observe the mountainside, just centimetres away. You are so close to nature, that you even can study how the grass grows.

The Bird Houses were originally built as single rooms, but with a queen-size bed, which makes it possible to accommodate 2 persons. The rooms offer a tiny bathroom with only a small handheld shower. To make up for that, The Bathouse is available for showering around the clock.
