During the third week of July is the San Sebastián Jazz Festival, one of the most famous and oldest festivals of this genre in Europe. In August, the city has a week of local celebration, Semana Grande. There are fireworks during the weeknights, theater, live music, and other activities you can experience. And celebrate the region’s culture during Basque Week or Euskal Jaiak, with cider tastings, the best of basque gastronomy, stone lifting, dance contests, and many other traditional activities to celebrate the local identity.
