Very close to Madrid, the city of Segovia is a multicultural spot in the heart of the Iberian Peninsula. It is where you can experience the history between its medieval streets and monumental architecture and a historic center listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site. 

Segovia became a Roman city around the I Century BCE. During this era, the Romans built one of the city’s principal icons, the Aqueduct of Segovia. This construction is the symbol of the town and is considered one of Spain’s most important Roman civil engineering works. Some historians believe that the city was abandoned during the Islamic era and repopulated after the conquest of Toledo, changing the appearance of the city and constructing many of the landmarks that can be seen and enjoyed to this day, such as the Alcázar de Segovia, a medieval castle from the XII century, renowned worldwide and the most visited monuments of Spain.
